Troubleshooting Backup and Cleanup
Photos are missing from a scan
Open Android Settings, Apps, SoLo Backup & Clean, then Permissions. Review Photos and videos access. If access is
limited, select more photos or allow full access, return to the app, and refresh storage.
Google Drive folder is rejected
In the Android folder picker, open Google Drive and choose a writable folder. The app creates a SoLo Backup & Clean
subfolder inside it. Keep the app open while copying, then confirm the copied files in Drive.
Cleanup did not free space yet
Android may move media to trash. Empty the system trash when you are ready, then refresh storage. If the Android
confirmation was cancelled, nothing was removed.
Message restore will not continue
Keep Airplane mode on, follow the temporary default-SMS prompts, and use the password that created the archive. Before
reconnecting, switch your normal messaging app back to the default. Device, carrier, and messaging-app support can vary.

Send the visible error, Android version, phone model, and the step that failed through
